Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the mobile game Lines of Strategy ("the Game") processes when you play it on Android or iOS, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have. It also covers this website.

1. Who is responsible
The Game is developed and published by BCKN ("we", "us"), which is the controller of the information described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
2. What the Game processes
2.1 Data kept on your device
Your hero, items, talents, currencies, energy, the run in progress, tutorial progress, settings (sound, language, vibration and others), what you have bought, and the identifiers of completed store transactions (so that a purchase is never credited twice) are saved in files on your device. These files are never uploaded, and uninstalling the Game deletes them.
2.2 Advertising — Google AdMob
The Game is free and funded by ads: full-screen ads between runs, and rewarded ads that you can choose to watch — to continue a run, to double the gold of a run, or to open the camp chest. To show and measure them, Google's AdMob SDK processes your IP address, device and app information (such as device model, operating system, language and app version), how you interact with ads, and — only where you have allowed it — your device's advertising identifier (the Android advertising ID, or Apple's IDFA). Google uses this to choose and deliver ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure performance and prevent fraud.
Whether ads are personalised depends on your choices (Section 4). If you refuse, Google shows "limited ads", which do not use cookies, advertising identifiers or other storage on your device. Buying "No Ads" stops the ads between runs; rewarded ads remain available because they are always optional.
2.3 Gameplay statistics — Google Analytics for Firebase
These tell us which rooms are too hard, where players stop, and whether a change made the Game better. They include:
- Game events — a run started, resumed or finished, with the chapter, rooms cleared, number of moves, gold earned and the reason for a defeat; perks offered and chosen; rewards claimed; items merged and talents upgraded; energy refilled; tutorial steps; ads offered and shown; in-game purchases started, completed, failed or restored; and impressions and taps on the "More of our games" showcase. We also record the version of the game configuration in use.
- Collected automatically by Firebase — a random app-instance identifier created by Firebase, device model, operating system version, language, app version, coarse location (country or region, derived from your IP address), session starts and lengths, first launch, and in-app purchase events. Where you have allowed advertising identifiers (Section 4), Analytics may also receive the Android advertising ID or the IDFA.
We use these statistics only to understand and improve the Game. They do not include your name or contact details, and we do not try to identify you from them.
2.4 Crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics
When the Game crashes or runs into an error, Crashlytics sends a report so we can find and fix the cause. A report contains the error and where in the code it happened, technical details such as device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and storage, the time, a random Crashlytics installation identifier, and the state of the game at that moment (for example, the chapter and room of the current run).
2.5 Game configuration — Firebase Remote Config
At launch the Game downloads settings from Firebase Remote Config: balance values, how often ads may appear, and the list of our other games shown in the Game. The request carries a random Firebase installation identifier and basic device and app information, and is used only to deliver the configuration.
2.6 Our other games
The Game can show a short list of our other games. Their pictures are downloaded from our websites, which — like any web server — see your IP address. When you tap a game, its page opens in Google Play or the App Store; on Google Play the link carries a label saying it came from Lines of Strategy, so we can count installs from the showcase. No personal information is added to the link.
2.7 Purchases
Crystals, the Starter Pack and "No Ads" are sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store, using Unity's in-app purchasing library inside the Game. The store handles the payment; the Game receives only a receipt and a transaction identifier confirming the purchase, so it can credit it once and restore "No Ads" on a new installation. We never see your payment details.
3. What we do not do
- We do not ask for, or collect, your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use gameplay statistics or crash reports for advertising.
4. Your choices
Advertising in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
Before any ad is requested, the Game shows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform (part of the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework), listing the purposes and the ad partners involved. Personalised ads need your consent; if you refuse, you get limited, non-personalised ads.
Gameplay statistics and crash reports
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the same consent form also covers these. Until you make a choice, and if you refuse, Analytics works without identifiers — it does not store or read the app-instance identifier on your device, so events cannot be linked to your installation — and Crashlytics sends no crash reports. With your consent to storing information on your device and to measuring content performance, gameplay statistics and crash reports are collected as described in Sections 2.3 and 2.4.
You can change your choice at any time in the Game: Settings → Data consent (the button is shown where the law requires it). In other regions statistics and crash reports are sent while you play; you can ask us to delete what was collected about your installation (Section 9).
On iOS
AdMob and Analytics can read the IDFA only if you allowed tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Once it is deleted, apps can no longer use it for personalised ads.
5. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
- Consent — personalised ads, gameplay statistics and crash reports, and storing or reading information on your device for them. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Data consent; that does not affect what happened before you withdrew it.
- Performance of a contract — providing the Game, and crediting and restoring what you buy.
- Legitimate interests — funding a free game with limited, non-personalised ads, and keeping ads and purchases secure and free of fraud. You can object to this processing (Section 9).
6. Who receives information
We use these providers, each of which processes information under its own privacy policy:
- Google — AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Google Play, and the hosting of this website. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from apps that use its services · Privacy and security in Firebase
- Apple — the App Store and App Tracking Transparency. Apple Privacy Policy
- Unity Technologies — makes the engine and the in-app purchasing library the Game is built with. The library runs on your device and passes each purchase between the store and the Game. Unity Privacy Policy
- Google's ad partners — in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the consent form lists them and lets you choose; elsewhere Google selects them under its own policies.
7. International transfers
Google and Apple process information in the United States and other countries. For information from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they rely on safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long information is kept
- On your device — until you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
- Gameplay statistics — event-level data is deleted after no more than 14 months; only aggregated reports that no longer relate to any one device are kept longer.
- Crash reports — 90 days.
- Advertising and purchases — for as long as Google and Apple keep them under their own policies.
9. Your rights
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in the EU, the one in your country (list of authorities); in the UK, the ICO.
Depending on where you live — California and other U.S. states, for example — you may have similar rights to know about, delete, or opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising. The device controls in Section 4 are the quickest way to opt out.
Because the Game has no accounts, the information held by Google is linked only to random identifiers, not to you by name. Uninstalling the Game stops all collection and removes its data and identifiers from your device. For any other request, email us and we will help — we will not ask for more information than we need.
10. Children
The Game is made for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in their country. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
11. This website
This website is a set of static pages hosted on Firebase Hosting. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Like any web server, the host processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
12. Security
The services built into the Game send information over encrypted connections, and our providers protect it with their own technical and organisational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
13. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. Where a change needs your consent, we will ask for it before it applies to you.
